The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Dr. A. Rene Crombie as a 2015-2016 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in biomedical research. NAPW is the nation’s leading networking organization exclusively for professional women, boasting 850,000 members and over 200 operating Local Chapters.
“I’m pleased to recognize Rene with this important honor,” says NAPW President Star Jones. “Her perseverance, work ethic and leadership qualities are an inspiration to all women.”
“I‘ve spent more than three decades as a bench scientist,” said Dr. Crombie who has been following the HIV / AIDS epidemic from its inception. She considers her work in AIDS research a personal journey having witnessed many friends die from the disease. As an AIDS researcher, Dr. Crombie contends there is still much work to do to contain a disease of such a complex nature.
Although many strides have been made, there remains a void in the knowledge necessary for a high efficacy vaccine solution due to the genetic variations in differing populations worldwide. PRISMARC is focused on providing individually tailored guidance with the highest levels of scientific integrity to solve the paradoxes of AIDS illness and HIV-1 transmission.
To honor her mission to eradicate AIDS illness and HIV-1, Dr. Crombie continues to keep pace with the exciting challenges that accompany the eradication of AIDS and HIV-1.
NAPW’s mission is to provide an exclusive, highly advanced networking forum to successful women executives, professionals and entrepreneurs where they can aspire, connect and achieve. Through innovative resources, unique tools and progressive benefits, professional women interact, exchange ideas, advance their knowledge and empower each other.
