Known for taking the long view, Ms. Duncan is able to articulate where the industry is headed as much as 30 years ahead. Her long-term approach helps companies position themselves to thrive as the trends and changes unfold, while preparing them for her vision of a future full of better building methods.
As an industry ambassador and catalyst, Ms. Duncan talks to company executives about challenges such as preparing today’s students to be tomorrows trained workforce, managing workers from different generations and using advanced technologies to solve business problems. She also sits on numerous public-private committees to influence legislation on matters that will affect how people buy AEC services in the future.
Ms. Duncan is a frequent speaker, famous for her inspirational talks about the AEC industry. Audiences become re-energized about where their industry and careers are headed, and excited about new collaborative partnerships that can help their companies make positive change happen. She is currently in the process of earning her LEED and Lean Construction Institute certifications to stay well-versed in those areas.
