National Association of Professional Women Announces Laura Grace Barrett, Gallery Owner / Artist at Collage Gallery of Fine Art, a 2015 Professional Woman of the Year
Garden City, NY (PRWEB) February 03, 2015 -- NAPW honors Laura Grace Barrett, Owner of Collage Gallery of Fine Art as a 2015 Professional Woman of the Year. Ms. Barrett is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in business. As the largest, most-recognized networking organization of professional women in the country, spanning virtually every industry and profession, the National Association of Professional Women is a powerfully vibrant networking community with over 600,000 members and over 200 Local Chapters.
Seeking refuge from city life, Laura Barrett and her family moved to Northern California and became partners in an established winery that was founded in 1892. The fortuitous business partnership made Chateau Montelena’s vineyard world famous for winning the prestigious "Judgment of Paris" wine competition in 1976, an accomplishment chronicled in her recently published memoir, "What is More Real Than a Dream."
Today, Ms. Barrett divides her time between Bigfork, Montana; San Francisco and Puerto Vallarta. As Gallery Owner and Artist, Ms. Barrett’s Montana gallery is a venue for a host of established and emerging artists. “My work has been seen in various group shows in collections throughout the United States and Europe,” says Ms. Barrett, a lifetime supporter of the arts.
By providing optimal space for art exhibitions, Ms. Barrett has been able to offer countless artists an opportunity for exposure. She is also paying homage to the many talented artists from Montana who have passed on by preserving, exhibiting and selling their collected works. Collage Gallery of Fine Art has become Big Fork’s premier art gallery and conservatory, available for rent to small and large private parties. Guests are invited to roam throughout the entire gallery, reserve private dining spaces and attend guest lectures or classes.
Ms. Barrett and her husband have eight adult children and 11 grandchildren. A world traveler, she studied cooking in Mexico, Italy and France and is an avid collector of textiles and art.
