National Association of Professional Women Inducts Jennifer Haes, Author, into its 2015-2016 VIP Woman of the Year Circle
Garden City, NY (PRWEB) May 12, 2015 -- The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Jennifer Louise Haes as a 2015-2016 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in literature. NAPW is the nation's leading networking organization of professional women in the country, boasting more than 700,000 members and over 200 local chapters.
“I’m pleased to welcome Jennifer into this exceptional group of professional women,” said NAPW President Star Jones. "Her work ethic, perseverance and drive are inspiring to all women."
Ms. Haes was just a child when she began dreaming up stories and writing them down, drawing on the works of Pearl S. Buck and James Joyce for creative inspiration. “I love writing, and the most rewarding point is when you create characters who carry you along on a ride with them. It is as if you are taking dictation from a voice in your head and you never know where you are going to end up. It is an amazing process,” she says.
After a rewarding career teaching Social Studies to grades 7-12, Ms. Haes retired to pursue her lifelong passion of writing. In May 2014, she published her first novel, Changes in Crystal Springs, about a family whose strength is tested after they move to Minnesota during the height of political unrest in the late 1960s. In April 2015, she plans to publish her second novel, The Tin Goddess, an intriguing love story that highlights the clashes between Native American and white cultures. Along with relatable characters and gripping plot twists, Ms. Haes’ stories carry strong social and cultural messages to instill a sense of moral responsibility to her growing fan base.
With her next novel set to be published in 2016, Ms. Haes hopes to capture the hearts of an even wider audience while staying true to her beliefs, morals and ideals. “My goal is to just continue writing, and hopefully, reach an audience who enjoys my work,” she says.
