NAPW Inducts Marta Zarella, Freelance Writer/Author at M.P. Zarrella Books, Inc./Z Girls Press/Storyteller Who Can, Inc., a 2015-2016 VIP Woman of the Year Circle
Garden City, NY (PRWEB) May 05, 2015 -- The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Marta P. Zarrella as a 2015-2016 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in writing and business. NAPW is the nation's leading networking organization exclusively for professional women, boasting more than 700,000 members and over 200 operating Local Chapters.
“I'm pleased to recognize Marta with this important honor,” says NAPW President Star Jones. “Her perseverance, work ethic and leadership qualities are an inspiration to all women.”
Before embarking on her highly successful writing career, Ms. Zarrella worked for many years in the information systems and accounting industries for a major international corporation. Always a storyteller at heart, it was after the birth of her third child that Ms. Zarrella left the corporate world and honed her skills as a writer through freelance work and writing classes. She has not stopped writing since.
“I’m very excited to announce that my novel, A Tangeled Web, is runner up in the Young Adult Fiction category of the Pacific Rim Book Festival 2015,” says Ms. Zarrella.
Today, Ms. Zarrella is the award-winning author of A Tangeled Web, and Owner / CEO of M.P. Zarrella Books, Inc., and Z Girls Press. Through her freelance business, Storyteller Who Can, Inc., she helps others tell their stories. “We help people write their memoirs, business books and more,” she says. “Baby boomers and WWII vets have so many stories to tell. We capture those stories, make them flow and put them into a book. I’m very passionate about this! I hope to hire other writers so we can help even more clients.” Ms. Zarrella has been writing for San Diego newspapers and magazines for over ten years, and has earned recognition and many Press Club awards. “Storytelling is my true and authentic self,” she says.
Ms. Zarrella plans to continue with her creative writing and perhaps have someone take over her memoir writing business. “I want to grow my Storyteller business so others can eventually run it,” says Ms. Zarrella.
