National Association of Professional Women Inducts Irina Chalkevitch, Dance Teacher and Owner of F.A.B. Ballroom, Into its VIP Professional Woman of the Year Circle
Garden City, NY (PRWEB) April 25, 2017 -- The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Irina Chalkevitch as a 2017-2018 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in entrepreneurship. NAPW is the nation’s leading networking organization exclusively for professional women, boasting more than 850,000 members, a thriving eChapter and over 200 operating Local Chapters.
“I’m pleased to welcome Irina into this exceptional group of professional women,” said NAPW President Star Jones. “Her knowledge and experience in her industry are valuable assets to her company and community.”
The daughter of two-time Russian national dance champions and four-time Belarusian dance champions, Irina Chalkevitch started dancing at a very young age—so, it’s no wonder she chose ballroom dancing as her own career. An accomplished, competitive dancer who has achieved national championship status in Russia, Canada and the U.S., Ms. Chalkevitch is also the Owner of Fun Affordable Beautiful (F.A.B.) Ballroom. She opened the San Diego studio in 2015.
“As the studio owner, I have to do it all,” said Ms. Chalkevitch, who oversees everything from teaching and scheduling lessons to choreography to preparing students for upcoming competitions to managing the studio’s online presence. Her clients include couples who want to learn to dance for their wedding to serious students who are competing in the Junior Olympics. Although managing a busy, successful dance studio can be difficult, Ms. Chalkevitch is up to the challenge. “I enjoy all of my roles and responsibilities as they all have to do with my passion: ballroom dancing,” she said.
Ms. Chalkevitch has a number of plans for the future, including pursuing a ballroom dancing judging career. “In addition to developing my own judging resume and talented student dancers, I would like to continue to grow my community outreach program, and continue to provide a comfortable environment for professional and semi-professional ballroom dancers,” she said.
Awards & Accomplishments: National championship status in Russia, Canada and the U.S.
