NAPW honors Irene Mantione, Sales Director for Mary Kay Cosmetics, as a 2014 Professional Woman of the Year. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in sales. As the largest, most-recognized networking organization of women in the country, spanning virtually every industry and profession, the National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) is a powerfully vibrant networking community with over 600,000 members and nearly 300 Local Chapters.
After attending a Mary Kay party 31 years ago, Irene Mantione decided to become a Mary Kay Consultant as a way to make extra income as a stay-at-home mom. She was especially inspired by the company’s mission statement: "Faith First, Family Second and Career Third." Driven by her passion for the products and a desire to succeed, Ms. Mantione’s sales continued to increase. Her vast knowledge of Mary Kay products helped her develop a loyal fan base, and in 1990 she became a Sales Director.
As a Mary Kay Sales Director, Ms. Mantione holds skin care and glamour appointments where she offers personalized service to men and women either in their home or at her studio. Her services include one-on-one consultations, skin care and glamour parties with friends and family, bridal advice and gift ideas for holidays, birthdays and special occasions. She also provides her customers the convenience of orders over the phone.
Ms. Mantione’s career with Mary Kay has exceeded her expectations. In 2000 she was nominated to receive the prestigious Go Give Award, which is given to those employees who best exemplify the Golden Rule. “My goal is to communicate hope to every person I meet,” say Ms. Mantione, who is committed to inspiring others to believe in their own greatness.
NAPW’s mission is to provide an exclusive, highly advanced networking forum to successful women executives, professionals and entrepreneurs where they can aspire, connect and achieve. Through innovative resources, unique tools and progressive benefits, professional women interact, exchange ideas, advance their knowledge and empower each other.
