“My goal is to be a Director within 12 months,” says Ms. Anderson, an Independent Beauty Consultant at Mary Kay, Inc.
Ms. Anderson, who has an M.B.A. from the University of Phoenix, has been steadily building her beauty consulting business since joining Mary Kay in 2006. She enjoys introducing other women to the many Mary Kay products at house parties or through her website. “It’s a lot of fun. I like helping women transform themselves with makeup,” says Ms. Anderson.
Committed to taking on the role of Director where she would be responsible for guiding and mentoring other Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultants, Ms. Anderson is steadily working toward that goal. She is looking forward to sharing her knowledge and expertise with other women who are interested in building a business. “The company really helps us. They offer us quite a bit of support and education. We have team-building meetings, leadership and career conferences and seminars,” she says. Ms. Anderson also owns A Royal LifeStyle, which specializes in coaching and helping people eliminate their debt. For now, though, she is focused almost exclusively on growing her business as a Mary Kay Consultant and becoming a Director.
