National Association of Professional Women Inducts Amanda Wampler, Owner of The Sisters Boutique, Into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle
Garden City, NY (PRWEB) August 18, 2015 -- The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Amanda Wampler as a 2015-2016 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in business. NAPW is the nation’s leading networking organization exclusively for professional women, boasting more than 700,000 members and over 200 operating Local Chapters.
“I’m pleased to recognize Amanda with this important honor,” said NAPW President Star Jones. “Her perseverance, work ethic and leadership qualities are an inspiration to all women.”
As owner of The Sisters Boutique, Amanda Wampler is determined to expand her business from her small town in Indiana to nationwide. The boutique specializes in handmade superhero capes and tutus. Ms. Wampler’s sister Stephanie started the cape business with designs, patterns, etc., and now the business has expanded to include burlap garlands for Christmas trees, Scrabble ornaments and Scrabble letters used for wall décor.
“Everything is a growing and learning process for me,” she said. With her sister taking time off to raise her family and helping when she can, Ms. Wampler, for the most part, is currently running the business on her own. For the past seven years, her husband has grown his own business in the music industry. Working alongside him, whether it was cleaning, mailing packages, manning the booth or managing the employees, she gained the knowledge and experience needed to become a reliable and successful business owner and learned the importance of great customer service.
She currently resides in Indiana with her blended family of three children and two adopted from Russia and Guatemala. With their inspiration, Ms. Wampler continues to create capes with the help of her grandmother, who sews the capes, and her mother, who helps with design ideas.
Ms. Wampler would like to expand the business by introducing the products into children’s hospitals, airports and retail shops. The Sisters Boutique was recently featured on a morning show in a segment that focused on stay-at-home mothers and how Etsy has helped grow their business.
