National Association of Professional Women Announces Dava Guthmiller, Founder / CEO / Creative Director of Noise 13, a 2014 Professional Woman of the Year
Garden City, NY (PRWEB) December 02, 2014 -- NAPW honors Dava Guthmiller as a 2014 Professional Woman of the Year. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in branding and design. As the largest, most-recognized networking organization of professional women in the country, spanning virtually every industry and profession, the National Association of Professional Women is a powerfully vibrant networking community with over 600,000 members and nearly 300 Local Chapters.
“My dad has always been an entrepreneur,” says Guthmiller, when asked what inspired her to establish her own ad agency. “After working at other firms for a few years, I decided I would rather work for myself with my own team.”
Founder, CEO and Creative Director of Noise 13, a San Francisco-based branding firm, Guthmiller started about 15 years ago with one client, one business partner and one intern. She soon bought out her partner and grew her client list. Today, she heads a talented team of 12 branding and marketing professionals. More than a design firm, Noise 13 now provides branding strategy and creative direction for lifestyle brands.
“We’ve transitioned from local, small businesses to overall brand strategy, identity work, print and web design,” says Guthmiller. “We collaborate with each client. Even if they only want a new website, we’ll take into account the whole business strategy.”
The agency’s key clients include Uber, East Drink SF and 1000Museums.
Active in industry organizations and her community, Dava Guthmiller is the Board Chair of Slow Food San Francisco, and on the advisory Boards for the Good Food Awards, Visual Media Alliance and Get Gone, and Founder of Pow.wow Network, a San Francisco-based women's networking group.
Awards & Accomplishments: Bachelor's, Academy of Arts University, Graphic Design; Golden Gate Restaurant Association; Pow.wow Networking Group
