She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in business. With more than 700,000 members and over 200 operating Local Chapters, NAPW is the nation’s leading networking organization exclusively for professional women.
“I’m pleased to welcome Cassondra into this exceptional group of professional women,” said NAPW President Star Jones. “She is a great example of how education and passion can lead to new pathways to success.”
Self-motivated, results-oriented and driven to succeed, Cassondra Ewing is a seasoned professional who has constantly set her career goals to keep pace with her highest aspirations for personal excellence. In college, Ms. Ewing started working at Sam’s
Club Home Office. After two years, she was transferred to merchandising and began working for a buyer. “From that point on, I was hooked,” she said.
In October of 2014, Ms. Ewing retired from Walmart after 23 years of service. During her tenure, she was responsible for the buyers and several cross-functional team members. While working with suppliers, there was a daily goal that needed to be achieved. Ms. Ewing notes the most challenging part of retail buying was the fast pace, which included endless meetings and phone calls, and responding to more than 500 emails on any given day. Ms. Ewing is now consulting, enjoying some family time and addressing her newest passion, which is to help women executives reach their next level of growth.
Ms. Ewing is also currently a Senior Principal at Arvense Group. The position entails helping companies in the Northwest Arkansas area increase revenue through strategic planning, procurement optimization, supply chain management, information management, market analysis and operational efficiencies. Ms. Ewing helps suppliers and manufacturers gain efficiencies and cost savings through their system.
