NAPW Inducts Shirley Gantner, Visionary Interior Designer Consultant, Artistic Impressions, Into its VIP Professional Woman of the Year Circle
Garden City, NY (PRWEB) September 16, 2015 -- The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Shirley Gantner as a 2015-2016 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in administrative and support services. With more than 700,000 members and over 200 operating Local Chapters, NAPW is the nation’s leading networking organization exclusively for professional women.
“I’m pleased to recognize Shirley with this important honor,” said NAPW President Star Jones. “Her perseverance, work ethic and leadership qualities are an inspiration to all women.”
Thinking outside the box as a teenager, Shirley Gantner preferred cleaning houses rather than babysitting. Doing this enabled her to appreciate well-designed homes and spaces. She was always curious to find out why certain colors worked well with others, how furniture made a room feel and how good taste didn’t always mean the household needed expensive items around it.
In 2006, Ms. Gantner obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design and is currently a Visionary Interior Designer Consultant at Artistic Impressions. She has been given the opportunity to learn every aspect of the company because it is an up-and-coming business. With her artistic eye and organizational skills, Ms. Gantner is a great asset. She faces the challenge(s) of working long hours and bringing work home with her, but she enjoys researching materials for clients. After hours spent researching, she is rewarded with an established and pleasant work relationship with her clients.
Ms. Gantner’s future goal is to become invaluable to her boss. She has the confidence and knows she could run a showroom by herself. She is determined to grow within the company and fulfill her dream of being a successful Interior Designer. Amongst all her accomplishments, she is justifiably proud of herself for being able to run and finish a half marathon last year as she entered her 50s.
Awards & Accomplishments: Project Management Certificate from U.C. Berkeley Ext – 1999; Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from Design Institute of San Diego; Participant of the Rock ‘n’ Roll Half-Marathon; North County Fine Arts Society
