NAPW Inducts Nadine Menjuga, Mechanical Engineer at Crane Aerospace & Electronics, Into its VIP Professional Woman of the Year Circle
Garden City, NY (PRWEB) May 26, 2015 -- The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Nadine Menjuga as a 2015-2016 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in engineering. Among the many people who inspired Ms. Menjuga to become an engineer were her hard-working parents and a cousin. “He was always studying and I was always curious about what is was. That was my first glimpse of mechanical engineering,” she recalled. A Mechanical Engineer at Crane Aerospace & Electronics for more than two years, Ms. Menjuga is responsible for maintaining and developing the power seat actuation for the company’s cabin department.
In addition to the skills she brings to her role, Ms. Menjuga excels at creativity, resourcefulness and the ability to work seamlessly as part of a team. Overcoming obstacles and finding timely solutions are an integral part of her job. “There's never a dull day! No matter how much I think I have learned in two years, there is always a new issue that arises that challenges me to become better,” said Ms. Menjuga.
As for her future, Ms. Menjuga is on a clear and steady path toward success: “Long term, ten years from now, I would like to start my own company,” she said. “My five-year goal is to become an Engineer III and my short-term goal is to become a Mechanical Engineer II.
