Joanne McPhee-Allen selected for her outstanding leadership and commitment within her profession

I’m pleased to recognize Joanne with this important honor. Her perseverance, work ethic and leadership qualities are an inspiration to all women.

The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Joanne McPhee-Allen as a 2015-2016 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in hospitality. NAPW is
the nation’s leading networking organization exclusively for professional women boasting more than 700,000 members and over 200 operating Local Chapters.

“I’m pleased to recognize Joanne with this important honor,” said NAPW President Star Jones. “Her perseverance, work ethic and leadership qualities are an inspiration to all women.”

Through her pursuit of continued professional development, Joanne McPhee-Allen’s expert skills have kept pace to meet the ever-evolving demands, progress and regulatory issues within Macannamac Camps. Ms. McPhee-Allen oversees all of the responsibilities and duties and ensures that visitors of Macannamac Camps have a positive vacation experience.

The camp offers three types of accommodations. Located in the remote area of the Allagash Lakes Region in Maine, the first is the American Plan Lodge on Haymock Lake which provides lodging, meals and all the comforts of home. Secondly, there is housekeeping cabins with indoor plumbing and hot water. Lastly, located on three northern lakes, Haymock, Spider and Cliff, there are basic housekeeping log cabins. They are all located individually with their own dock to the lake, providing privacy and solitude.

Macannamac Camps are open during each season with different activities to do yearround. Ms. McPhee-Allen encourages her guests and their families to join in on all the activities, including canoeing, swimming, searching for wild flowers, photography and observing and enjoying the wildlife around the property. As a pet-friendly cabin resort, all family members are welcomed. The camp grounds are accessible by road or plane.
