National Association of Professional Women Inducts Theresa McLaughlin, Senior Capacity Planner at USBank, Into its VIP Professional Woman of the Year Circle
Garden City, NY (PRWEB) April 04, 2017 -- The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Theresa McLaughlin as a 2017-2018 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in entrepreneurship. NAPW is the nation's leading networking organization exclusively for professional women, boasting more than 850,000 members, a thriving eChapter and over 200 operating Local Chapters.
“I’m pleased to welcome Theresa into this exceptional group of professional women,” said NAPW President Star Jones. “Her knowledge and experience in her industry are valuable assets to her company and community.”
Theresa McLaughlin has more than 30 years of experience working in large technology organizations and has been a Capacity Planner for over two decades. Since 2015, she has been in the role of Senior Capacity Planner at USBank. “As a Capacity Planner, we are mainly focused on data analysis of infrastructure resources and costs (servers, storage and software),” explained Ms. McLaughlin. “I am responsible for making sure over 22,000 servers have the resources they need to provide all banking services and focus on controlling costs of those resources.”
Ms. McLaughlin’s diverse and expansive background in IT services includes programming, systems administration, database administration, disaster recovery, data analysis, systems performance management and capacity planning. But perhaps her most important skill is her ability to work with many levels of the organization and communicate information to those parties as effectively as possible. Recently, Ms. McLaughlin received her M.B.A. in Business Analytics, which she feels has helped her to keep her industry skills and knowledge current, and provide creative solutions to complex projects.
“Capacity planning is highly creative. You have to find solutions with not-so-obvious answers,” said Ms. McLaughlin. “I really enjoy the challenge.” She plans to stay and grow in her field for at least another ten years. “My goal is simple,” she adds. “Make a big impact on tomorrow and evangelize data analytics to others.”
