Ms. Bowen is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in transportation planning and life coaching. Winsome Bowen is a Certified Transportation Planner and Life Coach, whose experience spans over 20 years in the transportation industry, specializing in streetcar, light rail and bus rapid transit planning, federal environmental studies for large-scale multi-modal projects and public communications programs.
Ms. Bowen’s career began in community planning and redevelopment while she was engaged in post-disaster relief and recovery for the city of Homestead, FL in the aftermath of Hurricane Andrew. Her most recent consulting work has focused on transit and redevelopment projects in Baltimore, MD; New Orleans, LA; Anchorage, AK; Miami, FL and Phoenix, AZ. As a former Associate Vice President with AECOM, a full-service engineering consulting firm, Ms. Bowen was the company's Market Sector Leader for Transit and Rail in the Southeastern United States. Prior to that she was a Transit Project Manager with the consulting firm, HDR Engineering, Inc., providing leadership on public transportation project development on behalf of clients across the U.S.
Giving back as an example to others is important to Ms. Bowen. In support of her belief and as a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC), she has recently formed Authentic Execution, Corp. to provide client coaching in multiple formats to meet her clients' needs and to help them realize their goals.
