National Association of Professional Women Inducts Kathy Berek, Regional Water Practice Manager at Burns & McDonnell, into its 2015-2016 VIP Woman of the Year Circle

In her recent position as Regional Water Practice Manager at Burns & McDonnell, Ms. Berek draws on more than 25 years of experience in the water industry. She has grown the firm’s market segments based on the company’s core values of client satisfaction, dedication, integrity, safety and overall outstanding service. As a full-service engineering, architecture, construction, environmental and consulting solutions firm, Burns & McDonnell was ranked 18th in Fortune’s 100 Best Companies to Work for in 2013.
Prior to her current role, Ms. Berek served as a Director of Special Projects at Tarrant Regional Water District (TRWD), provider of quality water to more than 1.7 million people in the North Central Texas area. She also served as Water Operations Manager for North Texas, a major national consulting firm where she managed projects including construction of TRWD's High Capacity Booster Pump Stations at Ennis and Waxahachie, the Regional Gravity Sewer Transmission Line and Lift Station in Rockwall for North Texas Municipal Water District, and improvements at Brazos River Authority's Morris Sheppard Dam at Possum Kingdom Reservoir. Before her position with TRWD, Ms. Berek worked as a Operations Manager for KBR a leader in global engineering and construction services.
