Paula L. Speight is Owner of Prosperity Healthcare, which specializes in home healthcare and Right Choice Cleaning Services, a residential and commercial cleaning company. Ms. Speight has attained the highest level of membership to the National Association of Professional Women as a VIP Woman of the Year and has been recognized for outstanding leadership and commitment within her profession.

“I have worked in the healthcare field for 15 years and love being able to help the elderly and the disabled,” said Ms. Speight. “It is my passion.” Working in hospitals and nursing homes ignited that passion and helped Ms. Speight to realize the importance of providing long-term healthcare services to those who desperately need it.

Ms. Speight’s plan for making her vision a reality includes obtaining her degree in healthcare administration and opening Prosperity Healthcare as a nonprofit healthcare facility that will offer long-term services to the elderly and disabled. “It’s very rewarding to be able to help people and put a smile on their faces,” she said.

While working toward her degree and waiting for the nonprofit status of her company to be approved, Ms. Speight is also busy with another business venture. She has opened Right Choice Cleaning Services and is in the process of getting both residential and commercial cleaning contracts. Ms. Speight sees this as a way to help fund her first passion, Prosperity Healthcare.

As an active member of the National Association of Professional Women (NAPW), Ms. Speight is looking to members for mentoring and help. “I have reached out to other members and networked, asking them to share their pointers and professional advice,” she said.

The National Association of Professional Women is a dynamic business network where nearly 500,000 accomplished, professional women come together to interact, exchange ideas and empower themselves. Through the extensive network of close to 400 NAPW Local Chapters nationwide, members make use of online networking, educational tools and many other valuable privileges of NAPW membership.
