National Association of Professional Women Inducts Christina Handle, Founder / CEO of U.S. Degree Consulting, Into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle
Garden City, NY (PRWEB) August 04, 2015 -- The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Christina Handle as a 2015-2016 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in business. NAPW is the nation’s
leading networking organization exclusively for professional women, boasting more than 700,000 members and over 200 operating Local Chapters.
“It gives me great pleasure to present Christina with this important honor,” said NAPW President Star Jones. “I applaud her for using her expertise to build a successful business enterprise.”
Realizing she would be in serious debt if she took the traditional four-year route to earn her degree, Ms. Handle did extensive research to discover alternate ways of earning college credits. She went on to obtain her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Hawaii Pacifi c University in just two years. She then moved to London to pursue her Master’s degree in International Business at Hult International Business School. Finishing her Master’s degree before even legally allowed to drink in the U.S. allowed Ms. Handle to become a Manager at a billion-dollar company in DC by age 22.
“I began to help some of my veteran friends finish their undergraduate degrees early as well so that they could use their GI Bill for graduate school,” she said.
Determined to help more Veterans spend less time working toward their degree and more time actually working, Ms. Handle founded U.S. Degree Consulting (@ US_Degree) in 2012. As Founder and CEO, she helps educate service men and women about alternative ways to earn college credits and complete their college education in a more efficient manner.
“College is just like anything else–once you understand the system, you can use it for your own advantage,” said Ms. Handle. “It is a tool, and when it is not used properly, it can really hurt people. They go into way more debt than necessary and they waste years of their lives. I just want to help them be able to start pursuing their passions as quickly as possible.”
Presently, Ms. Handle is focusing on working with veterans. Eventually, she hopes to grow her business to include helping other groups, such as immigrants and other first generation college students.
