The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Cheryl Tidwell as a 2015-2016 inductee into the NAPW VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in consulting services. With 850,000 members and over 200 operating Local Chapters, NAPW is the nation’s leading networking organization exclusively for professional women.

“I’m pleased to recognize Cheryl with this important honor,” said NAPW President Star Jones. “Her perseverance, work ethic and leadership qualities are an inspiration to all women.”

For 22 years, Cheryl Tidwell has been the Office Manager at HSA / GHD. Her key responsibility is to manage 12 Administrative Assistants who work in different disciplines provided within the company. She also manages the day-to-day operations throughout the office building, which includes maintenance repairs of the building, working closely with the property manager, distributing and tracking keys for company vehicles, contract negotiations and more.

“I find it has been most rewarding to work with so many diverse people and professions,” she said.

Over the years, Ms. Tidwell has acquired patience and excellent listening skills. Building and maintaining relationships with clients requires constant vigilance. When working with Administrative Assistants, she establishes consistent workflow routines to provide a better quality of work, for both the office and client(s).

“I have also learned to take ownership of my mistakes and learn from them. With that acquired skill comes confidence when a job is well done,” she said.

For her commitment to achieving success according to her personal standards of excellence, and for her outstanding accomplishments in enriching her position with her diversified proficiencies, Ms. Tidwell is being honored as a leader and role model for her profession.
