NAPW honors Jonda Vance as a 2014 Professional Woman of the Year. Ms. Vance is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in business. As the largest, most-recognized organization of professional women in the country, spanning virtually every industry and profession, the National Association of Professional Women is a powerfully vibrant networking community with over 600,000 members and nearly 300 Local Chapters.
“I have been in quality management for over 15 years, focusing on continuous improvement strategies and applications,” says Ms. Vance, who recently took on the role as President of The Edwards Group International, LLC. “I have been with EGI since 2009 and ready for this next chapter in my life. It's an exciting time for our business.”
Ms. Vance says it is her passion for quality that inspired her to take on her new role at the consulting firm. Working primarily in the packaged gas and welding industry, Ms. Vance and her staff of highly skilled professionals help small to mid-sized, privately owned companies be more successful. “We give our clients the tools, applications and structures they need and show them how to apply those elements to solve problems,” she says.
An avid believer in the effectiveness of the Toyota Way and its approach to KAIZEN/Continuous Improvement, Ms. Vance works with clients around the country. She is an expert at helping companies and staff - even those who may be nervous about change - through the process of improvement, which ultimately produces clear results. “Our approach to KAIZEN/Continuous Improvement is simple, easy to learn and easy to apply. It can be embraced and executed by anyone in the organization regardless of education or previous experience and is focused on removing obstacles on the path to perfection, the ideal state,” says Ms. Vance.
NAPW’s mission is to provide an exclusive, highly advanced networking forum to successful women executives, professionals and entrepreneurs where they can aspire, connect and achieve. Through innovative resources, unique tools and progressive benefits, professional women interact, exchange ideas, advance their knowledge and empower each other.
