National Association of Professional Women Inducts Syeda Saba Sheraz, Manager/Owner of Skids LLC, Into its VIP Professional Woman of the Year Circle
Garden City, NY (PRWEB) April 25, 2017 -- The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Syeda Saba Sheraz as a 2017-2018 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in entrepreneurship. NAPW is the nation’s leading networking organization exclusively for professional women, boasting more than 850,000 members, a thriving eChapter and over 200 operating Local Chapters.
“I’m pleased to welcome Syeda into this exceptional group of professional women,” said NAPW President Star Jones. “Her knowledge and experience in her industry are valuable assets to her company and community.”
Syeda Saba Sheraz never planned on becoming a businesswoman. She was very content being a stay-at-home wife and mother. But her life suddenly took a very unexpected turn.
“I am the mother of three beautiful children,” said Ms. Sheraz. “I have been a homemaker for the past 22 years, but I recently lost my husband and now have to take care of the family business.” That family business, Skids LLC, is a convenience store, located in Chesapeake, VA.
Now, as the store’s Manager and Owner, Ms. Sheraz is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the store, which her husband first opened in 2011. She skillfully manages all aspects of the business, overseeing everything from human resources to nance to sales. Although she knew nothing about running a business and has had little guidance, Ms. Sheraz has persevered and through hard work and determination, she has been successful in keeping the store operating smoothly. “It’s overwhelming to do something you have never done before,” she said. “But I am trying my best.”
Ms. Sheraz is now busy growing and expanding the business and is optimistic about her family’s future. She looks forward to eventually one day having her children take over the family store.
