Mildred Pivoz, Licensed Counselor, is recognized as an NAPW VIP Woman of the Year for her outstanding leadership and commitment within her profession.

NAPW honors Mildred Pivoz, Licensed Counselor, as a 2014 Professional Woman of the Year. Ms. Pivoz is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in Counseling. As the largest, most-recognized networking organization of professional women in the country, spanning virtually every industry and profession, the National Association of Professional Women is a powerfully vibrant networking community with over 600,000 members and nearly 300 local chapters.

Mildred Pivoz is a master's level, certified, licensed professional counselor with 25 years of experience focusing on career, crisis and mental health counseling. Her bachelor's degree in education and 15 years of teaching experience allows her to develop curriculum, write materials and present workshops on job search, time management, resume writing, interviewing, branding using social media, the hidden job market, life transitions, effective customer service, maintaining energy and understanding how people process information differently.

For the past 22 years, Ms. Pivoz has been working for the Southfield Michigan Works overseeing the welfare program and workshops, and for nearly 15 years, she has held the position of Assistant Manager. Ms. Pivoz has experience writing governmental and private grants, and was successful in obtaining $69,000 from the Skillman Foundation to incorporate the teaching of the aging process and mentoring of seniors to students in the elementary school.

Ms. Pivoz continues to provide exceptional programs that are designed to elevate the standards of her profession. Her one mission as a licensed counselor: to transform lives and create fulfilling, purpose-driven strategies for long-term success and happiness.
