National Association of Professional Women Announces Cassandra A. Arnold, CPA and Director at KPMG LLP, a 2014 Professional Woman of the Year
Garden City, NY (PRWEB) September 09, 2014 -- NAPW honors Cassandra A. Arnold as a 2014 Professional Woman of the Year. She is recognized for leadership in consulting with this prestigious distinction. As the largest networking organization of women in the country, the National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) is a vibrant networking community with over 600,000 members and nearly 300 Local Chapters.
“I always had a passion for the nonprofit industry and talent for business process analyses,” says Ms. Arnold, CPA and Director at KPMG LLP. She prepared well for her future career in accounting by interning at the US Small Business Administration (SBA) as an analyst. She credits her confidence to working for a number of professional organizations of varied sizes and disciplines while still attending college. This helped prepare her for the business world. At SBA, Ms. Arnold became adept in developing spreadsheets and graphics to support periodic management reports and presentations. She also assisted in reviewing program data and summarizing results for management review and previewed a congressional hearing about the generation of the agency’s cohort estimates.
Ms. Arnold transitioned from KPMG's external audit practice in 1998 into the Government Advisory practice several years later. As a Manager for Internal Audit and Regulatory Compliance Services, Ms. Arnold contributed to numerous business process risk assessments with specific emphasis on financial management and grant compliance. She also assisted for-profits and nonprofits with Sarbanes Oxley documentation and testing requirements during the inception period of this regulation.
In the midst of being named Director of KPMG’s Regulatory and Compliance Services in 2010, Ms. Arnold was providing government and nonprofit clients strategic and tactical advice on improving operational business processes during transformative system implementation projects.
NAPW’s mission is to provide an exclusive, highly advanced networking forum to successful women executives, professionals and entrepreneurs where they can aspire, connect and achieve. Through innovative resources, unique tools and progressive benefits, professional women interact, exchange ideas, advance their knowledge and empower each other.
