National Association of Professional Women Announces Gia Carrozzi, Owner and Operator, Truecut Custom Milling, LLC, as a 2014 Professional Woman of the Year
Garden City, NY (PRWEB) June 17, 2014 -- NAPW honors Gia Carrozzi as a 2014 Professional Woman of the Year. Ms. Carrozzi is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in business. As the largest, most-recognized organization of women in the country, spanning virtually every industry and profession, the National Association of Professional Women is a powerfully vibrant networking community with over 600,000 members and nearly 400 Local Chapters.
“In 1996, I was introduced to my first portable sawmill, the Lucas Mill,” says Ms. Carrozzi, Owner and Operator of Truecut Custom Milling, LLC. “This mill was the beginning of a passion that goes very deep and continues to drive my inner soul.”
A custom miller and sawyer for more than 12 years, Ms. Carrozzi is following in the footsteps of her father, who purchased that first mill for her, and a long line of others in her family who share her passion for sawing and milling. Ms. Carrozzi went on to learn all she could from her dad and other experts in the field and is now one the few successful females working in the industry.
Ms. Carrozzi is dedicated to her craft and has worked hard to grow her business. She is the proud owner of three other mills, including the Mobile Dimension, the Linn Lumber Mill and the Baker Blue Streak. Ms. Carrozzi, who has been featured in industry publications, specializes in creating custom projects and in recycling old growth redwood. Much of the wood she re-uses is found on the floor of the forest in the heart of Humboldt County, CA and dates back to the late 1800’s and early 1900’s. Ms. Carrozzi also willingly shares her skills as a sawyer with others, and works on projects large and small, both on and off site.
