Dr. Siv Hilde Houmb is held in high esteem for her expertise as an automation security and cyber security specialist. Presently, Dr. Houmb is the CEO & White Hat (Ethical Hacker) at Secure-NOK, AS which was established in 2010 in Norway and is now located in Houston, Texas. Secure-NOK AS provides products and solutions that detects and removes security attacks and events such as espionage, sabotage, malware and other harmful events in oil and gas installations, both onshore and offshore.
With a career that spans more than 15 years, Dr. Houmb’s background includes positions with industry leaders such as Telenor ASA, Norwegian Institute for Air Research (NILU) and General Storage and Technology, and has taught at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. She is currently an associate professor adjunct at Gjøvik University College, Norway.
Dr. Houmb received her Ph.D. from the University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Trondheim, Norway in 2007 and did her Ph.D. research at Colorado State University. Her Ph.D. thesis was on decision support methodologies and techniques to choose among sets of security solutions for critical information systems.
