National Association of Professional Women Announces Susan A. Willis, Purchasing Manager at Westwind Corp., a 2014 Professional Woman of the Year
Garden City, NY (PRWEB) November 25, 2014 -- NAPW honors Susan A. Willis as a 2014 Professional Woman of the Year. Ms. Willis is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in business. Ms. Willis brings her expansive knowledge of the defense industry to her role at WestWind Corp., a company specializing in aircraft modification, cable harnessing and metal fabrication, along with her exceptional leadership skills and tireless work ethic. She began her career at Chrysler as an Administrative Assistant to the President. Her professionalism and efforts were soon recognized and she was quickly promoted to the purchasing department.
With the encouragement and motivation of a friend and co-worker, Ms. Willis flourished in her role in the purchasing department as Senior Buyer. When her position was eventually eliminated, Ms. Willis’ excellent reputation in the industry enabled her to quickly land her current managerial position at WestWind Corp.
Managing a team of three buyers, Ms. Willis ensures the accurate purchasing of products and services in support of the company’s contracts and manufacturing as well as the bidding for proposal efforts. She and her staff consistently strive to complete projects on time and on budget. “Negotiating the best overall price for my company is always rewarding,” she says.
Ms. Willis has a Bachelor of Science, in Marketing from Jacksonville State University.
