NAPW honors Kimberly Hudson as a 2014 Professional Woman of the Year. Ms. Hudson is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in education. As the largest, most-recognized networking organization of professional women in the country, spanning virtually every industry and profession, the National Association of Professional Women is a powerfully vibrant networking community with over 600,000 members and nearly 300 Local Chapters.
Ms. Hudson is the Founder of The Curious Edge Foundation, Inc., a nonprofit foundation whose mission is to help students by providing them with the tools they need to be academically and professionally successful. She has extensive experience as an educational consultant in both private and clinical settings.
A passionate advocate for students with dyslexia and language processing disorders, Ms. Hudson’s focus is helping to educate professionals and parents about these conditions, as well as ADHD, auditory processing disorders and other challenges faced by students who struggle with learning. At The Curious Edge, she and a team of educational professionals work with students of all ages, and adults, to determine their learning styles and teach them appropriate learning techniques that work best for them.
Also the Founder of The Reading Room, LLC, a clinic that provides diagnostic and intervention services to struggling students, Ms. Hudson hopes to continue to expand this important program and further establish its clinical model. Her other long-term goals are to reach out to veterans with PTSD by providing neurological brain training programs and to strengthen the relationships between The Curious Edge and local private schools so that all students may benefit from what the foundation offers.
NAPW’s mission is to provide an exclusive, highly advanced networking forum to successful women executives, professionals and entrepreneurs where they can aspire, connect and achieve. Through innovative resources, unique tools and progressive benefits, professional women interact, exchange ideas, advance their knowledge and empower each other.
