The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Loleta Guillory as a 2015-2016 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in education. NAPW is the nation’s leading networking organization exclusively for professional women, boasting more than 850,000 members and over 200 operating Local Chapters.

Recruited by a former Principal, Loleta Guillory joined the staff of Project Accept – Roosevelt-Tulsa Public Schools as a Teacher Assistant. She has been in this position for four years and works closely with the administrative team, the Principal and of course, the students.
“My responsibilities are assisting the Librarian, assisting students with researching materials and providing tutoring services,” said Ms. Guillory. “I use my journalism skills to write papers and poetry, and I work with students to help improve their reading skills.”
Ms. Guillory is passionate about the work she does with her students. She finds it very rewarding to help them overcome challenges so they may be successful. A published Poet, she is the Author of Hung, a poem that is currently in the Library of Congress. Ms. Guillory obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, Journalism and Music from Central State University.
