The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Jane Fried as a 2015-2016 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in business and higher education. Ms. Fried has 40 years of experience as a Counselor and Human Relations Consultant. She is the Principal of Learning with Mind and Heart, a consulting practice to help educational and business leaders learn how to conduct difficult conversations (typically about cultural differences) with skill and compassion.
“I was raised in a multicultural neighborhood with people of many different ethnic and racial backgrounds,” said Ms. Fried, who has a Ph.D. in Counseling from Union Graduate School. Her next book, Of Education, Fishbowls and Rabbit Holes, published by Stylus, is due out in early 2016.
