National Association of Professional Women Inducts Karen Lessig, Engineering Manager of Morgan Corporation, into its 2015-2016 VIP Woman of the Year Circle
Garden City, NY (PRWEB) May 12, 2015 -- The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Karen Lessig as a 2015-2016 inductee into the NAPW VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in engineering. With more than 700,000 members and over 200 operating Local Chapters, NAPW is the nation's leading networking organization exclusively for professional women.
“I’m pleased to welcome Karen Lessig into this exceptional group of professional women,” said NAPW President Star Jones. “She has used her expertise to build a successful business enterprise.”
Early in her career, Karen Lessig was less than inspired working in the accounting field when, fortunately, fate stepped in with an offer from her employer to send her to school for mechanical engineering. Always artistically and mechanically inclined, it didn’t take much to convince her that the engineering field had the potential to provide her with more satisfying and interesting challenges.
Now, ten years later, Ms. Lessig has two assistants to help her manage a team of 20 design engineers at Morgan Corporation, the premier producer of truck and van bodies in North America. The company traces its history back to 1952, when company founder Elton E. Mountz purchased a small welding shop in Morgantown, PA. Today, it boasts 12 manufacturing and service facilities located throughout North America and provides top quality and service and prompt delivery of every order.
Ms. Lessig has a proven record of success assisting in the development of new products and processes to improve and expand the company’s operations. Her expert organizational and management skills, combined with the integrity and excellence that she brings to every project, have garnered her not only success but the respect of her engineering staff and colleagues.
NAPW’s mission is to provide an exclusive networking forum to professional women where they can aspire, connect and achieve. Through innovative resources, unique tools and progressive benefits, members interact, exchange ideas, advance their knowledge and empower each other.
