National Association of Professional Women Announces Lucy Nichols, Program Director of Medtronic, a 2014 Professional Woman of the Year

She is responsible for the efficient and predictable execution of multiple projects including collaborating and promoting innovation via several program initiatives and scientific collaborations. Her skills and areas of expertise include portfolio management, program/project management, people management, software engineering, strategic and operational planning and delivery of research systems for first-in-human use.
Ms. Nichols, who has an M.S. in Computer Science and Technology from the University of Minnesota, expertly leads world-wide cross functional teams with her in-depth knowledge in project management, engineering, clinical and regulatory management. She has developed multiple first-in-human research systems that resulted in new product features for the benefit of Medronic patients and has earned the honor of being named a Technical Fellow. “I am also the Co-Founder and President of Zetwal Mission Outreach, a nonprofit organization for the delivery of healthcare and education in Haiti and Africa (Cameroon),” says Ms. Nichols, whose strong social conscience has always been the catalyst for making a difference in the world.
