Garden City, NY (PRWEB) July 11, 2017 -- The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Michelle Inkster as a 2017-2018 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in the medical eld. NAPW is the nation’s leading networking organization exclusively for professional women, boasting more than 850,000 members, a thriving eChapter and over 200 operating Local Chapters.
“I’m pleased to welcome Michelle into this exceptional group of professional women,” said NAPW President Star Jones. “Her knowledge and experience in her industry are valuable assets to her company and community.”
Dr. Michelle Inkster has been practicing medicine for 19 years. A Staff Gastroenterologist at Cleveland Clinic’s Digestive Disease Institute, she is board certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine. Her specialties are gastroenterology and hepatology.
Early in her medical career, Dr. Inkster came to realize that many women who suffer from gastrointestinal issues are more comfortable discussing their complaints with a female doctor. She also recognized that since most gastroenterologists are men, women’s issues in this area have not received as much attention as male gastrointestinal issues. As such, Dr. Inkster has dedicated herself to helping women deal with their chronic gastrointestinal health problems. Most of her patients are female.
Dr. Inkster lectures often at Speaking of Women’s Health in Cleveland. A native of Australia, she received her medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and a Ph.D. from Saint Louis University School of Medicine.
