National Association of Professional Women Announces Allison W. Luckman, Owner of Allie’s GF Goodies, LLC, a 2015 Professional Woman of the Year
Garden City, NY (PRWEB) April 07, 2015 -- NAPW honors Allison W. Luckman as a 2015 Professional Woman of the Year. Ms. Allison Luckman is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in business. As the largest, most-recognized networking organization of professional women in the country, spanning virtually every industry and profession, the National Association of Professional Women is a powerfully vibrant networking community with nearly 700,000 members and over 200 Local Chapters.
In May 2013, Allison Luckman opened a gluten-free bakery in New York’s Nassau County. Since Allie's GF Goodies' grand opening, it has become the number-one source for delicious gluten-free baked goods on Long Island. “My family’s health was the inspiration behind Allie's Goodies!” said Ms. Luckman.
Ms. Luckman’s personal experience with food allergies began with her son, who, thanks to his nutrition-conscious mom, is now allergy free. Other factors, including her own colon surgery and a daughter diagnosed with colitis, demanded a call to action.
After extensive research and lots of encouragement from a gluten-intolerant population, Ms. Luckman was ready to launch her business to provide those consumers with foods they could enjoy without suffering the painful consequences of consuming gluten. Always a talented baker, she set to work and made her delectable treats available to the frequently underserved market. Her baked goods can now be found in numerous restaurants and markets throughout the metropolitan area, including La Bonne Boulangerie in Manhattan, 388 Restaurant in Roslyn, NY and Key Food in Woodmere, NY.
All of the baked goods at Allie's GF Goodies are OU Kosher certified and gluten, dairy and nut free. Ms. Luckman is a member of the Independent Baker's Association (IBA), New York State Restaurant Association (NRA) and Gluten Intolerance Group (GIG).
Awards & Accomplishments: M.A., New York University, Art Therapy; Independent Baker's Association (IBA); New York State Restaurant Association; Gluten Intolerance Group (GIG); Small Scale Food Processors Association (SSFPA); Orthodox Union (OU) Kosher Certified
