National Association of Professional Women Inducts Armethia Holt, CEO at AA&G Group Homes, LLC, Into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle

Armethia Holt selected for her outstanding leadership and commitment within her profession

I’m pleased to recognize Armethia with this important honor. Her perseverance, work ethic and leadership qualities are an inspiration to all women.

The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Armethia Holt as a 2015-2016 inductee into the NAPW VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in healthcare. With more than 700,000 members and over 200 operating Local Chapters, NAPW is the nation’s leading networking organization exclusively for professional women.

“I’m pleased to recognize Armethia with this important honor,” said NAPW President Star Jones. “Her perseverance, work ethic and leadership qualities are an inspiration to all women.”

Armethia Holt is the CEO of the family-owned business AA&G Group Homes, LLC, which helps adults overcome life obstacles. Founded by her mother Gwendolyn McCoy, Ms. Holt has been able to maintain and promote their strong mission. Currently owning four residential facilities, AA&G helps adult men and women who require services for intellectual disabilities.

“We believe that the sky is the limit and all people have the ability to rise,” she said. Ms. Holt takes pride in her ability to tailor each service to the specific needs of the individual. She aims to provide safe care and day support services while maintaining a clean and friendly environment. Her mission is to stay committed to train and support the intellectually disabled adults and assist them in attaining goals in all areas of their lives.

Along with dedicating her time to disabled adults, Ms. Holt spends her free time volunteering for children’s hospitals in the area. She is a prominent member of the Portsmouth Local Human Rights Group and serves as a Notary Public. She is also a certified trainer with the Therapeutic Options of Virginia and a member of “Home Away From Home,” a human rights group for adults 18 and over. She continues to devote her time to ensure a better life for the people in her community.
