National Association of Professional Women Announces Charmion Patton, M.S., P.H.R., Certified Human Resources Professional, a 2014 Professional Woman of the Year

She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in human resources. Deciding on a career in human resources, Mrs. Patton has nearly 20 years of experience in industries such as finance, manufacturing and healthcare. She has in-depth knowledge as an executive leader in the domestic and global HR fields. In her leadership roles, she has led successful initiatives in leadership development, organizational design, workforce planning, talent management, talent acquisition, employee / labor relations, performance and change management and compensation. She had transformed HR departments to become efficient and customer centric, and is known as "Mrs. HR Fix-it" for her ability to improve HR operations and functionality. Her reputation garnered her an opportunity to develop an HR department from the ground up.
“I had an once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to work in the UAE, as a CHRO and to establish the HR department for Sheikh Khalifa General Hospital," says Mrs. Patton. "The experience increased my passion for HR as I expanded my footprint onto the global market."
Prior to her work in the Middle East, Mrs. Patton held leadership roles in hospitals and medical centers throughout the US. Now back home, her focus is once again on working in the healthcare arena, developing strategic systems and processes that are effective and long term, and meet human capital needs and organizational objectives. “I consider myself a transformational leader who understands the need to create a sustainable organization for the future. I am a progressive, open-minded leader who thinks outside the box,” she says.
Mrs. Patton has an M.S. from the Ken Blanchard School of Management–Grand Canyon Univ. and a B.A. in Management & Human Relations from Trevecca Nazarene Univ. She is a member of SHRM, and American College of Healthcare Executives Hospital Association of California.
