National Association of Professional Women Inducts Jennifer Yates Doherty, Owner of Palmetto Rehabilitation Services, LLC, into its 2015 VIP Woman of the Year Circle
Garden City, NY (PRWEB) May 05, 2015 -- The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Jennifer Yates Doherty as a 2015-2016 inductee into the NAPW VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in healthcare. NAPW is the nation's leading networking organization exclusively for professional women, boasting more than 700,000 members and over 200 operating Local Chapters.
“I’m pleased to welcome Jennifer into this exceptional group of professional women,” says NAPW President Star Jones. "She has created a valuable business enterprise for her community.”
Ms. Yates Doherty's career as an Occupational Therapist and Life Care Planner began as she was raising her family, which allowed her the time to grow her family and pursue her career on her terms. While working part time, Ms. Yates Doherty's career progressed at a convenient pace. She worked for some time in a hospital setting at an outpatient facility with patients who suffered from upper extremity dysfunction and chronic pain.
Eventually, Ms. Yates Doherty was trained to complete Medicare Set Asides to further her training in the workers' compensation arena until being asked to join Paradigm Outcomes, a nationwide case management company, as Director of Clinical Services. There, she used her skills to assist and direct Nurse Case Managers to resolve the most complex pain cases, be it helping the injured worker wean off painkillers or assisting a client with claims strategy.
“My drive to do the right thing for people with catastrophic illness was my mother’s legacy to me,” said Ms.Yates Doherty, whose mother was the Owner of a medical case management company.
After her mother’s passing, Ms. Yates Doherty, in an effort to keep her legacy alive, started Palmetto Rehabilitation Services, LLC. It currently services the southeast, including Louisiana, Alabama, Northern Florida, and South and North Carolina. The company has a strong sense of purpose and support to help clients come to the right solution in their workers' compensation claims. Its Nurses are some of the most experienced in the industry.
