National Association of Professional Women Announces Karen L. Clark, Vice President Medicaid of Horizon BCBS of New Jersey, a 2015 Professional Woman of the Year

Her skills and areas of expertise include healthcare insurance, leadership, mentoring, healthcare management, innovative programs and strategic planning.
A graduate of Columbia University who obtained her M.B.A. in Marketing and Finance, Ms. Clark prides herself on her industry knowledge and the ability to establish a strong foundation. With her help, Horizon NJ Health was able to successfully launch a managed long-term care program that provides significant care coordinated services to seniors and people living with disabilities.
Along with the success in her profession, Ms. Clark is involved with Medicaid Health Plans of America (MHPoA), Association of Community Affiliated Plans (ACAP) and Blue Cross Blue Shield Association – Medicaid Work Group. Her goal is to continue to promote innovating and public-private partnerships to address cost, quality and access to healthcare issues in the United States. She continues to successfully launch the Medicaid expansion under the Accountable Care Act, adding thousands of new enrollees.
