National Association of Professional Women Announces Marcia A. Potter, Senior External Auditor at Trilogy Health Services, a 2014 Professional Woman of the Year
Garden City, NY (PRWEB) November 25, 2014 -- NAPW honors Marcia Potter, M.S., R.N., Senior External Auditor at Trilogy Health Services, as a 2014 Professional Woman of the Year. Ms. Potter is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in Healthcare. At Trilogy Health Services, Marcia Potter coordinates external audit activities and serves as the contact person for tracking, coordinating and examining external audit requests. Ms. Potter is an expert at preserving the documentation necessary to support the audit requests and providing education to promote understanding of compliance, laws, regulations and consequences of non-compliance.
Ms. Potter's impressive career in nursing began at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Illinois. During her 27 years at OSF, she held positions in education and management, and coordinated and consolidated training for hospital staff and the general public with the American Heart Association. She spent 12 years at Illinois Central College as an Illinois Central College Instructor for Health Occupations, helping to develop the college's LPN program during a graduate school internship. Ms. Potter also held the title of Regional Consultant at Sunsolution Consulting Services where she traveled to long-term care facilities providing various levels of managed care. Other positions include Resource Utilization Specialist at Life Care Centers of America, Director of Patient Care Services at Lakeview Rehabilitation Center and Regional Director of Utilization Review at Greystone Healthcare Management.
Ms. Potter received her Master degree in Healthcare Administration from the College of St. Francis in Joliet and is earning her B.S.N. at American Sentinel University. She currently is a member of AANAC, ACDIS and ARN.
