Denise V. Taddeo is recognized as an NAPW VIP Woman of the Year for her outstanding leadership and commitment within her profession

I am a National Board Certified Counselor (NBCC) and a professor since 1997.

NAPW honors Denise V. Taddeo, M.A., N.B.C.C., H.C., Manager of The Glitter Cookie, LLC, as a 2014 Professional Woman of the Year. Ms. Taddeo is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in coaching and wellness. As the largest, most-recognized networking organization of professional women in the country, spanning virtually every industry and profession, the National Association of Professional Women is a powerfully vibrant networking community with over 600,000 members and nearly 300 Local Chapters.

Denise Taddeo’s personal experience with a life threatening illness became the inspiration behind Glitter Cookie, LLC, a personalized health and wellness program. After a prolonged and arduous recovery, she decided there had to be a much better approach toward achieving good health and, so, Glitter Cookie was born.

Upon enrolling in her program, Ms. Taddeo offers to work alongside patients, their doctor, psychiatrist or other adjunct professional support to ensure her patient’s success. Her approach to healing is more hands-on than traditional counseling or therapy. Ms. Taddeo considers diet a vital component to her therapy. In addition to coaching patients, she will accompany them as they grocery shop to help them choose nutritious food choices and offers help with food preparation and organizing a kitchen.

“I am a National Board Certified Counselor (NBCC) and a professor since 1997,” says Ms. Taddeo, who is most proud of the work she’s performed as a counselor, helping individuals with brain injuries, anxiety, depression and other mood disorders. She considers an ability to work with adolescents with mental health issues to be her greatest accomplishment.
