As Chief Nurse, Ms. Goeringer ensures that she has enough nurses working every shift in every specialty to deliver the expected evidenced-based care to each patient. She scans numerous metrics to determine if all regulatory, financial and service standards are met.

Ms. Goeringer also supports recruitment of new physicians to her hospital by ensuring that nurses are thoroughly trained, competent to give patient care according to the physicians’ orders and can observe for potential complications. Recruiting talented nurse leaders and creating a vision of how the nurses’ work contributes to the success of the hospital through highly satisfied patients are Ms. Goeringer’s greatest strengths.
