National Association of Professional Women Announces Roberta Mittman, Founder of Park Avenue Center for Wellbeing, as a 2014 Professional Woman of the Year

Ms. Mittman is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in coaching. Ms. Mittman has a mission: to help women over 40 feel and look their best. A successful alternative healthcare practitioner for more than 20 years and a licensed acupuncturist, Ms. Mittman has a thriving practice as a health and wellness coach. She believes strongly in a holistic approach when it comes to helping individuals with wellness and weight loss and has been inspired by her father, a physician who also practiced acupuncture. “He was a trailblazer who showed me the best of both worlds and how you could combine the East and West when it comes to healthcare,” she said. She continually works with a team of healthcare professionals, combining holistic eastern medicine with modern wellness coaching.
For the past year, Ms. Mittman has been focusing her attention on women over 40 who are searching for more energy, more confidence, and more vibrancy. “I call it finding the ‘CEO of You,’” she said. “You can’t up level your career unless you up level yourself. You are your business.” She sees many of her acupuncture patients and clients in her New York City office, and continues to expand her health and wellness coaching practice as she works virtually with women across the country, interacting with them online and over the phone.
