National Association of Professional Women Announces Dorothy Miller, Professor of English &Humanities, Harford Community College, a 2015 Professional Woman of the Year
Garden City, NY (PRWEB) February 03, 2015 -- NAPW honors Dorothy E. Miller, Ed.D., Professor of English and Humanities at Harford Community College, as a 2015 Professional Woman of the Year. Ms. Miller is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in education. Dorothy Miller’s areas of expertise include writing, lecturing and curriculum development for both classroom and online settings at Maryland’s Harford Community College. The academic institution specializes in offering more than 80 affordable degree and certificate programs of study, as well as a wide variety of noncredit continuing education courses. Ms. Miller received her Doctor of Education degree in Higher Education Administration (Organizational Theory and Finance) from Teachers College of Columbia University.
Ms. Miller was recently recognized as Clinician of the Year for Education from Continental Who’s Who, and is on the board of Statewide Standards for College English (SSCE) in Maryland. Actively involved with Partnership for the Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC) for the Common Core education reform initiative, Ms. Miller is looking forward to launching her new company, Heron’s Gaze Consulting, which will help guide educators and interested individuals and groups through the current education reform initiative.
