Seeing between four and six patients a day, Ms. Stormer travels to patients' homes, most of who have recently been released from the hospital, and helps them to re-adapt to their environment. “I work with them to improve their skills, to get them back into their communities,” says Ms. Stormer, who patiently instructs her patients in home safety, daily living activities, adaptive equipment use, pain management, exercise programs, stress management and wellness.
An effective communicator and manager with exceptional leadership abilities, Ms. Stormer is considering pursuing a graduate degree in organizational leadership and/or fundamental medicine.
