The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Judy Howell as a 2015-2016 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in finance. NAPW is the nation's leading networking organization exclusively for professional women, boasting more than 700,000 members and over 200 operating Local Chapters.
"I'm pleased to welcome Judy into this exceptional group of professional women," said NAPW President Star Jones. "Her knowledge and experience in financial planning are valuable assets to her clients and community."
Judy Howell, a Private Wealth Advisor at First Kentucky Securities Corporation, (FKSC) joined the company in May 2001 as Account Executive. She was previously employed by Nancy Barron & Associates from 1990 to May 2001 as Vice President and Account Executive. "I've been helping people with their financial goals since 1980," she said. Ms. Howell's investment career began at First Security Bank in the Trust Investment Department and she later moved to their brokerage division. She specializes in equity and fixed income investments, wealth management, college and retirement planning and 401(k) plans as well as life, disability and long-term care insurance.
From its inception, FKSC was instrumental in the formation of initial and enabling legislation for many of the municipal bond issuing agencies and programs in the State of Kentucky. The firm has continually played a principal role in the Kentucky municipal bond market, serving as Fiscal Adviser and Underwriter for major issuers including the Kentucky Housing Corporation, the Kentucky Higher Education Student Loan Corporation, the Kentucky Turnpike Authority, various Kentucky universities, school districts, water and sewer districts and municipal financing agencies.
For over two decades Ms. Howell constantly pursued her professional development, expanding the areas of her expertise in order to gain greater responsibility and accountability as a financial expert. She received her merchandising degree from Bauder Fashion College before deciding that finance was her forte.
NAPW’s mission is to provide an exclusive, highly advanced networking forum to successful women executives, professionals and entrepreneurs where they can aspire, connect and achieve.
