NAPW Inducts Stefanie Horvath, J6 Chief Information Officer at Minnesota Dept of Military Affairs, Into its VIP Professional Woman of the Year Circle
Garden City, NY (PRWEB) May 26, 2015 -- The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Stefanie K. Horvath as a 2015-2016 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in information technology. NAPW is the nation's leading networking organization exclusively for professional women, boasting more than 700,000 members and over operating 200 Local Chapters.

As J6 Chief Information Officer at the Minnesota Department of Military Affairs, Ms. Horvath, a US Army veteran who proudly served in Iraq, uses her expansive knowledge of database applications, project management, information technology and communications. “As the J6 CIO, I am responsible for all data, voice and radio networks for the MNARNG covering over 70 sites serving 1,500 staff members,” she said.
Promoted to CIO in 2012, Ms. Horvath previously served as Deputy CIO. She held a number of key IT management and operational positions where she was responsible for budget, IT procurement, personnel training, development and service level agreements. She began her career as a database / web developer.
In addition to her dedication to her current position,Ms. Horvath is also committed to sharing her extensive skills in information technology with children and young adults. She hopes to develop IT training programs for these audiences and help them learn all they can about the industry. “In my future endeavors, I hope to continue my own personal path of development and find ways to help more women find careers in information technology,” said Ms. Horvath.
