The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Sharon M. Cirillo, PA, AE, CF, E, ABA as a 2015-2016 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in insurance and accounting. NAPW is the nation’s leading networking organization exclusively for professional women, boasting more than 850,000 members and over 200 operating Local Chapters.
“I’m pleased to recognize Sharon with this important honor,” said NAPW President Star Jones. “Her perseverance, work ethic and leadership qualities are an inspiration to all women.”
“I opened my own firm 11 years ago,” said Sharon Cirillo, owner of Alliance Insurance, whose biggest challenge is facing the ever-evolving environment of regulation and the impact of that evolution on her clients.
Early in her career, Ms. Cirillo realized that strong accounting support was integral to the success of any business. She gained valuable experience in the two companies she worked for prior to venturing out on her own. The turning point to becoming a business owner happened after the passing of a well-known and respected employer, whose uncompromising standard of ethics was an inspiration to Ms. Cirillo all who worked for him.
Today Ms. Cirillo uses her forensic accounting skills to catch embezzlers and quantify the related losses to aid in the recovery of those funds. She also uses her experiences to help her clients strengthen their internal controls to prevent them from falling victim to fraud.
NAPW’s mission is to provide an exclusive, highly advanced networking forum to successful women executives, professionals and entrepreneurs where they can aspire, connect and achieve. Through innovative resources, unique tools and progressive benefits, professional women interact, exchange ideas, advance their knowledge and empower each other.
