National Association of Professional Women Announces Michelle Y. Zawrotny, Former AML Operations Manager of USSA, as a 2014 Professional Woman of the Year

A certified fraud examiner and anti-money laundering specialist, Ms. Zawrotny was a key contributor to USAA’s ability to successfully meet all compliance requirements. In addition to managing all in- and out-going cash transactions, project involvement and regulatory processes, Ms. Zawrotny was responsible for the thorough training of each team member. From coordinating in-house classes to researching outside training courses, she ensured that everyone received the necessary certifications and hours required by law.
Ms. Zawrotny started her career on the investment side of banking, where she worked for nearly 20 years. She moved to the money laundering area in a subsidiary of the company when her assistance was needed, and eventually stayed there. As she embarks on a new phase of her career, Ms. Zawrotny is looking forward to exploring other fields, bringing her skills and knowledge of anti-money laundering to companies that deal with business and higher risk accounts.
