The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Dee Ann Ferguson as a 2015-2016 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in business. NAPW is the nation's leading networking organization exclusively for professional women, boasting more than 700,000 members and over 200 operating Local Chapters.
“It gives me great pleasure to present Dee Ann with this important honor,” said NAPW President Star Jones. “I applaud her for using her expertise to build a successful business enterprise.”
Dee Ann Ferguson is President and Owner of Exemplar Capital Management. “I was inspired to go into my line of work to generate a passive income for my investors, clients and myself,” she said. “I had to solve a problem that many of us face in our investments and future retirement. I was tired of excuses from my financial planners when questioning why the returns were so low or even negative compared to the overall market. I decided to take matters into my own hands and set out on a 4-year journey talking to and consulting with the best financial minds in the country. From that experience and education, I created an investment model that allows me to maintain control of the investments, have the benefit of buying investments at a discount, and have a risk mitigation plan for each investment. I now share and manage that investment model to the rest of the world. Our clients agree this model is very compelling; we have doctors, lawyers, engineers, contractors, small business owners, family, friends investing with us and in our funds.”
Prior to her current role as a private lender, and her success in the real estate investing field, Ms. Ferguson spent many years as a registered nurse where she held various positions, including risk management of a large hospital system and consulting in law firms. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Nursing from Grand Canyon University. Over the years, Ms. Ferguson transitioned her risk management and critical thought processing skills to real estate investing and private lending business. The ability to evaluate investment opportunities through the eyes of risk mitigation has propelled her lending business forward.
NAPW’s mission is to provide an exclusive, highly advanced networking forum to successful women executives, professionals and entrepreneurs where they can aspire, connect and achieve.
