National Association of Professional Women Announces Linda Kane, Jewelry Designer/Document Manager at Markusson, Green, and Jarvis, a 2014 Professional Woman of the Year
Garden City, NY (PRWEB) October 28, 2014 -- NAPW honors Linda Kane as a 2014 Professional Woman of the Year. Ms. Kane is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in business. As the largest, most-recognized networking organization of professional women in the country, spanning virtually every industry and profession, the National Association of Professional Women is a powerfully vibrant networking community with over 600,000 members and nearly 300 Local Chapters.
“I couldn’t find any jewelry that I like so I made my own,” says Ms. Kane.
By day, Ms. Kane is a Document Manager at Markusson, Green, and Jarvis, an experienced firm handling ligation in multiple legal areas. There, she is responsible for a variety of daily administrative tasks, ensuring that the office is efficiently run and projects are completed in a timely manner.
But after hours, Ms. Kane’s creative side takes over as she designs unique jewelry that she creates using unusual objects such as nuts, bolts, screws and all things technical. “I use motherboards, phones, cell phones, old clock gears,” she says. “I get my materials from Goodwill and hardware stores, and some I purchase on line. My favorite part is taking everything apart. I use a hammer to smash things. It’s a great stress reliever!”
Ms. Kane sells her jewelry online and has garnered much positive feedback for her one-of-a-kind, high quality pieces. A true Renaissance woman, Ms. Kane, who has an M.S. in Criminology from Regis University, also paints and writes. She is currently working on a mystery for adults. “I have been writing since I was in high school,” she says. “I’ve already written about 40 pages. Once I’m finished, I hope to one day publish it.”
